A Geography and History themed lesson on Pompeii in which pupils use a variety of resources such as animations, information sheets and eyewitness accounts to build a picture of the Vesuvius eruption in AD79.

Useful for departments to study and compare what each exam board covers and the assessments pupils have to complete. A lesson that revises key aspects of volcanoes, earthquakes and plate tectonics. It is designed so there are a number of different types of revision exercises and the pupils evaluate each of these for usefulness at the end. Great as an introduction to revision techniques for later in their schooling.

Use this with your History, Geography and RE classes to help them remember key spelling, punctuation and grammar areas to look for in their work. Easy to remember in time for the exam or get them practicing in KS3 in readiness. Print them off and laminate them. Distribute after any extended writing task and give them just five minutes to use it to check their work. By the time the exam arrives they should remember some of the key areas to watch out for when they read through their answers.
