A film review is a 10 slide presentation for year 9 students. To engaged them in the lesson I chose some movies they saw. By the end of the lesson students will be a cinema critic and they will write their own paragraphs. All the activities are differentiated to stretch them, extension activities are included and also starter and plenary exercises.
Objectives for students:
Some of you will be able to write at least 3-4 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 4-5 different adjectives.
Most of you will be able to write at least 2-3 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 3-4 different adjectives.
All of you will be able to write a paragraph around 1-2 sentences giving opinions about a film you like or dislike, using 2 different adjectives.
I planned this lesson to encourage students to use properly the verb To be in Spanish classes. It includes definitions and different uses of Ser/ Estar. The objectives and activities are differentiated. Attractive images such us The Simpsons and Mr. Bean are presented in this powerpoint for them to learn while they have fun.
You can use it from year 7 until year 11, of course it depends on the level of each learner.
Students will be able to talk about what kind of rooms and floors there are in their homes . Also they will be able to say in which floor the rooms are and describe the surroundings of their houses. The objectives and activities are differentiated.
You will find a wide range of activities:
-A visual memory game.
-A classifying activity: sort nouns and adjectives.

I planned this lesson on Prezi for a year 11 group but it fits also for other years. It is based on the topic ' Tu casa'. They worked in ability and mix ability groups and they had to imagine that they won the lottery in Spain and they were architects to create a plan of their ideal house. I hope your students enjoy!
