This comprehension book includes 10 short and simple stories for those beginning to start guided reading / comprehension work. These have been used with Year 1 children but could also be used by high ability Reception / low ability Year 2 children. Each story has 4 / 5 simple questions with answers to retrieve from the text. Could be completed independently or with adult support if needed. Great as a starting point in guided reading sessions.

Sound family spinners. Laminate the resources and attach the spinner with a split pin. Children can then spin the arrow and write down the object it lands on. There are two versions included - one with the digraphs on to help children spell the word using the correct digraph and one without the sounds on to add more challenge.
