It gives the opportunity for students to brainstorm words that contain the prefix il- before directing them via QR code to Quizlet to practice words with beginning with il-. If you are not familiar with Quizlet is allows the children to practice the words interactively on flashcards, test if they can spell the words correctly by playing the game Gravity and also allows them to match the meaning to the word. It is an excellent website which the class always.

This resource helps children identify nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. It contains 4 posters (adjectives, adverbs, nouns and verbs) and two worksheets. The first worksheet explains what each type of word is before testing the children with the activity. There is an extension at the end of the sheet for students to practice putting the words in sentences.
