Emotion Regulation Worksheet

This 2 page resource was formed as an independent reflection activity for children who may be struggling with regulating their emotions and/or having explosive emotional reactions. The first page aims to prompt a reflective thought process, which also acts a good framework to support the child in being able to verbally share their thoughts and feelings. The second page allows a space for the child to develop their own tool box of strategies which help them in these situations. This can be kept and referred back to and/or added to at any point. It also encourages a more constructive mindset where the child can consider their own needs in that moment, rather than simply focusing on what has happened. The sheet uses lots of visual cues which massively help to encourage interest and engagement in the resource whilst the child may be struggling to focus on a specific task due to being overwhelmed. The clear and colourful presentation also helps to influence a positive undertone to the activity. This helps the child to understand that this resource is not a form of discipline or chore, but is actually aimed to support them and their feelings during a difficult time.

Personal Statement Builder (Uni)

Hey! When I was writing my personal statement for uni applications, I found it so much easier to have structure to my thoughts rather than just write it all straight away. With all the limitations on word count, having such a tight frame to go off definitely made the process a lot quicker and easier! The 11 slide pdf includes checklists, structure advice, frames for organising thoughts, a ‘do and don’t’ page, phrase suggestions to replace high frequency words and even more. I recommend following the pdf from start to finish in the order given as it builds specificity as you go on. Good luck!

Hi! This 10 slide powerpoint pdf includes all the main pointers in helping you to complete a high quality EPQ in the easiest and most structured way possible. Some examples of the topics included ar;e; keeping a research log, essay structure, referencing, advice on collecting primary research, forming appendices and some generic advice on the whole process! This was the builder I created myself whilst I was completing my own EPQ which was awarded an A*.
