I know the relief when I'm running short on time and find someone else has created tasks and questions for a reading book so thought I'd share some of the ones I've created over the past few years...hope they help you save some time!

Imagine my disappointment on finding a set of questions on here by someone else but reading the awful reviews : there were no questions only summaries of the chapters and people had paid £5 for this!!! Since I needed to create tasks anyway I thought I’d share and offer an alternative… There is a good mix of literal and inferential Qs, metalinguistics, visualisation and research based tasks. Hope you and your class enjoy the book and these tasks! My teenage daughter who did this book in P6/7 has gone through the tasks to make sure they’re not boring like the ones she had to do :) She also drew a quick sketch of one of the characters for me to use so I don’t infringe any copyright for this!

Tasks for each chapter of the book. A wide range of questions to ponder and tasks to complete from visualising to summarising. Save yourself some time creating your own tasks and give this a go. It’s a great book if you are looking at either of the World Wars, the British Empire or racism.
