I’ve been a teacher for over 25 years. I am passionate about creating fun and engaging resources and am very excited to be turning my passion into an online business! As well as having an online TES shop I am working on launching my own website, which will not only contain fantastic resources, but will also have fun and exciting games where children can practice their maths and phonics skills. A fun lesson to teach finding one more or one less within ten. Children are introduced to Freddy the frog, who teaches them about one more and one less before introducing a simple number track. The children are encouraged to say or show the number which is one more or one less than the number Freddy the frog has landed on. This resource features a lesson PowerPoint and matching worksheet so children can consolidate what they have learned.

The audio featured in this resource includes the correct pronunciation of ai. This resource can be used by teachers to teach ai to their class, or parents wanting to practice phonics with their child. Alternatively, this resource could be used by children to practice independently. Learning Objectives: * To recognise the grapheme ai and say the phoneme /ā/. * To segment and blend ai words for reading and spelling. * To read and write a decodable sentence including ai words.   This resource includes: * Practice of some of the previous sounds taught including audio. * A colourful sound and picture slide to introduce ai, including audio of the correct pronunciation of the phoneme. * Animated blending and segmenting slides including audio of the sounds and words. * An interactive real and alien word game using words containing ai.
