Romeo and Juliet Escape Room (Digital)

(2)
Suitable for Home School and Distance Learning Engage students to explore Shakespeare’s tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” like never before, with this immersive and fun digital escape room. This breakout box is 100% paperless, completely interactive, and ready to play straight away! Are you looking for an engaging, challenging lesson that requires zero prep? Look no further! This escape lesson is for you. In this interactive revision game, students take on the role of a timecop who travels back in time to save the play from the hands of a rogue AI. Their objective is to discover what actually happened in these stories, then report back to the future. Students will revise the plot timeline, answer main character riddles, solve puzzles, analyse language techniques and do a close reading of Romeo’s soliloquy in the tomb. But beware! If students make too many mistakes their mission will fail and the past will be lost forever. Students race against each other to complete all the tasks and puzzles first. They can work on this individually or in groups sharing a device between them- simply share the link in your product file with your students! What’s included: 12 draggable plot elements (students have to drag the timeline into the correct order to discover the code to the next level) 2 visual puzzles: (a sliding puzzle where students evaluate the Friar’s attitude to the wedding. A draggable rose and parchment which students have to overlay in the right orientation to reveal a hidden message) 10 unique character riddles 5 hangman challenges (based around language techniques) A final close reading challenge - students read an extract from the play and answer multiple-choice analysis questions to reveal a secret code A comprehensive answer key (for the teacher!) Students can use this resource individually but I’ve also found it’s fun to compete in small groups - simply send your students the link and your game code and start playing! To use this tool simply: Click on this link: Romeo and Juliet Escape Room! or the one in your product file. Type in your game code (found in your product file) Have fun! Please note: Buying this product gives you a password which then unlocks an online file to use in class - so it needs an internet connection to work. **I’m also planning to update and expand this resource over time to give you the best experience possible - I may change the game code from time to time (you’ll get an updated code when you re-download the product file on TES).

I make fun educational games to inspire students and make education more fun for teachers too. I do this because I noticed that education these days is more challenging than ever - if you’ve ever seen a tired teacher or a bored millennial, you’ll know what I mean! More and more students are disengaged in the classroom, but curriculum and distance learning demands mean that many of us teachers are struggling to stay above water, let alone find the time to come up with new ideas for learning. My aim is to empower teachers with digital games that hook students on learning that is fun AND meaningful. My resources are simple to use, but highly interactive and challenging to engage even your most reluctant students. I wanted these resources to be something a teenage boy might be interested in, and something really easy to use within existing platforms too (think Google classroom or Zoom, etc.) - simply your students a link and they’re good to go. The best part is that everything works in the browser, which means you can spend less time being the class tech support, and more time teaching. So whether you’re a time-poor teacher, a parent juggling a job while home-schooling, or a student looking to level up your skills… GameWise can help cure your distance learning headaches, free up your day, and reignite your school experience. So go GameWise, and make your learning fun. How did I do? Too cheesy? ;P CONNECT WITH ME Gil’s GameWise Blog – Discuss gamification! Facebook – Share your success stories!
