Worry Monsters are a cute resource to encourage our little people to speak about their worries and emotions. I have created a little poem to accompany my own Worry Monster ‘Wesley’. Self Registration is an important part of the morning routine in my classroom. At information time we talk about how many children are here and how the children worked it out e.g. counting or recognised 2 tens frames were filled so 10 + 10 = 20. It is also great if you have someone covering your class as they can quickly see how many children is present and who is absent. Simply add your class names, laminate the resource and then add velcro (as I’m sure most other classrooms are the same children seem to love blue tac).
