I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

I always thought this was a topic that textbooks cover poorly and so I wrote this set of questions a few years ago and have used them regularly ever since. Covering all the laws, including Addition law, Multiplication law, exhaustive and independent events and conditional probability too - but only the algebraic approach. This is a topic that many students find difficult and so I have included a factsheet too (also available free) I hope you find it as useful as I do. Aimed at the higher level GCSE pupl, this is a phenomenal set of graphs in two formats: Students are shown 42 different graphs and have to work out the equation of the graph using roots and intercepts. I have used this Powerpoint for years and students always find it useful. Graphs include: Straight Lines Quadratics Cubics Power curves Square roots Reciprocals Trigonometrical and even one Quartic. You can, of course, rearrange the slides and take some of the more difficult questions out if you wish. It is an excellent exercise or starter. I have included the Powerpoint and the same 42 graphs on a PDF for tutors and revision. These took a tremendous amount of work and are absolutely priceless. This is a useful set of questions that every ‘A’ level student should be aware of. Although they can all be integrated by substitution, every student should be aware that f’(x)/f(x) integrates to give ln(fx) - and I always taught this as a sideline to the method of substitution - this crops up on exam papers every year without fail and students should be able to recognise it immediately. On two pages, this pdf has over 30 questions on variable seperable differential equations, Q1 - has 16 questions which need to be rearranged before integrating, I have included trig, exponential, logs, partial fractions and standards here ! Q2 - just a few parts here where initial conditions are given so that the constant of integration will need to be calculated and simplified. Q3 - 10 are more like examination questions and have more than one part. Answers have been checked several times and numbers used have been manipulated to make interesting questions.
