GCSE Relious Studies debate generator for AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel

Two easy to navigate powerpoints that link to one of 120 random debate topics covering a range of debate questions fitting the Eduqas, AQA and Edexcel syllabus. Philosophy unit covers 60 questions including issues of Relationships, Life and Death, Good and Evil and Human Rights. Also includes 60 additional questions covering the beliefs, teaching and practices of both Christianity and Islam. Each debate is designed to have students line up on opposite sides of the classroom to either agree or disagree. Alternatively teachers can have students write agree / disagree on whiteboards or use hands. This resource will spark debate in your class as a great starter or plenary - or use throughout to break up the lesson. Excellent as a revision tool before exams - why not have students answer as a traditional believer or secularist to further spark debate? P.S. Please enable macros for the random page button to work! Thanks, and please do leave a review if you enjoy this resource!

Gamification resources

A set of gamification resources I have been trialing this year for Geography and RE. Will be updated as and when needed, easily modifiable to any subject. Character sheet A set of characters I have been using with year 8 students in Geography - students are given a random (or targeted) character and gain “exp” by getting levels on assessments, answering questions in class, doing extentions and feed forward activities. Character items A set of additional ‘loot box’ style items for use as prizes - allows students one off or ongoing changes to their skills - attempts to overcome the potential problem of students being unhappy with their ‘skills’ FF sheet For use with the above - Geography feed forward sheet giving ideas and linking the theme Achievement cards For use with ‘scratch off stickers’ which you can get from amazon / craft stores. You print off a set, shuffle them and cover the picture with the sheet. Prizes up to you! Let me know if you use any of these or have any further ideas!
