Year 7 Percussion Homework Sheets Tuned and Untuned Instruments Hit, Scrape and Shake. Both for peer marking.

These are a set of resources used as part of a KEY STAGE 3 Scheme. These form part of a scheme to develop keyboard skills using Ode to Joy by Beethoven. Each set includes: 1. A fully animated powerpoint with images and descriptions to support learning. 2. A LOOK COVER WRITE CHECK sheet for quick revision / starters. 3. A keyword meanings homework with challenge tasks.

This resource contains TWO slides. Slide One: All seven diatonic triads in C Major. Build your own simple chord progressions and cadences. Slide Two: All four standard cadences (including V7 - I and iv - I) ALL triads / cadences will sound on pressing. This is a fully interactive resource with all chord mp3s fully embedded. You will need to have this in presentation mode in PowerPoint for it to work. YOU WILL SEE NO ADDITIONAL MP3 FILES ON DOWNLOAD.

This has been used as a supporting document to develop literacy and understanding for the Unit of work "Renaissance Melody" The powerpoint includes automation with images and audio / visuals to support the key terms. ALL mp3s and mp4s are included. A really useful and supportive resource. Also included a ppt for printing with images to support key terms.

This is a four slide Powerpoint presentation which includes twenty-four audio clips of percussion instruments. Present the Powerpoint. Students can select a number between 1 - 24. Either select on your computer screen or this can be activated through an interactive board. Click on the number to hear the attached audio. Students are then asked to identify the audible clip. All audio clips are embedded within this Powerpoint. All answers on the final slide for your reference. I have used this as a starter with Key Stage 3 students to build aural recognition of percussion instruments. Enjoy!

How many times have you explained the G.C.S.E. performing requirements to students and this has been lost “in transit” ? How many times have you e mailed instrumental teachers to reinforce the performing requirements? How many times have your students presented a piece to perform that doesn’t quite fit the requirement? This sheet is simply for students to hand to their instrumental staff for - or for you to e mail directly -so that everyone can be kept well informed. One sheet full of accurate information. Basic tasks for gathering five original starting points.

This is a set of worksheets designed to support the learning of basic cadences in up to 4 sharps and flats as required by GCSE music courses. There are four sets of worksheets included here. Imperfect Interrupted Plagal Perfect Each worksheet has a supported and unsupported worksheet. All supported worksheets have staves pre loaded with the correct key signatures. All unsupported worksheets have staves clean for learners to insert the correct key signature. All worksheets have a small table with chords / key identified and then a stave to show full notation. This is intended to develop and support learners into notating cadences clearly from chord chart to notation.

Quick revision or starter activity for "Since You Been Gone" (Ballard/Rainbow). This is a one slide powerpoint with all music fully embedded. Simply click on the revision focus question and the music will play. All musical examples are edited and short in length - you will not be hearing the full track! All examples are from AOS1 area or linked to Hard Rock Anthems OR Russ Ballard. Clicking on a new question will stop the current music and start the next track. This was created in the latest version of powerpoint - this is where it will work best. There may be playing issues if you open in a previous version of powerpoint.
