Exercises for A-level students to develop their writing skills using activities from ‘The Writing Revolution’ (Hochman and Wexler). This set of activities focusing on the second chapter of the book: ‘sentence expansion and note-taking: getting students to process what they’ve read.’ My own high-ability A-level English literature set have found this resource invaluable in helping them understand the writing process and improve their own writing across their A-levels.

Exercises for A-level students to develop their writing skills using activities from ‘The Writing Revolution’ (Hochman and Wexler). This set of activities focusing on the third and fourth chaptersf the book: ‘one step at a time: why students need to plan before they write’ and ‘first steps in planning: the single-paragraph outline.’ My own high-ability A-level English literature set have found this resource invaluable in helping them understand the writing process and improve their own writing across their A-levels. This is the third resource I have created for this scheme. I would highly recommend completing activity 1 and 2 before attempting activity 3 as the skills build on each other.
