This was made as a revision resource by Imogen Morris, a student stuyding Ibsen on the Drama and Poetry pre-1900 section of A Level OCR English Literature. However, feel free to use it to study/teach ‘A Doll’s House’ no matter the level or course!

This student-written essay comparing Chaucer’s ‘The Merchant’s Prologue and Tale’ and Henrik Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’ was awarded 28/30 marks, receiving an A* grade for a practise OCR A Level English Literature Drama and Poetry Pre-1900 paper. The essay explores pride as a destructive force in both texts, in response to a question from a past paper.
