Here is a practical activity i used in my year 1/2 classroom. The children worked both in groups and independently to record their answers on white boards. Last year I decided to colour number cards so they were easier for myself and the children to sort as they were carrying out tasks. The yellow cards are 1-20, Blue cards are 21-50 and red cards are 51-100. I laminated 5 sets of these and they worked wonders in my classroom. I have also attached a place value lesson with the teacher input. I would move all the dienes into the bin afterwards so the children would ignore these ones on the screen. Hope this saves some time.
