Lesson resources for an ESOL lesson looking at festivals and the contemporary traditions of Christmas. Focusing specifically on using present and past tenses to describe festivals and Christmas. Resources could fill at least an hour and a half worth of lessons. Best suited to entry level learners. Questionnaire - Resource/worksheet to allow learners to practice asking questions about festivals and produce writing and speaking in the present and past tense. Reading and writing activity - Worksheet/reading text about someones experience of Christmas, what they do every year, last year and this year. Models different tenses and asks learners to highlight the verbs and tenses then write their own piece of writing about a festival they celebrate.
