Therefore I created worksheets that enabled students to create their own characterisation of each character through the use of quotations. Each drawing must be annotated with quotations from the text which is in the supporting box at the bottom of each sheet. I have given an example sheet to show learners. I created higher and lower level sheets to further support my lower level learners.

They then are grouped into 4 groups and move in a carousel activity around the room answering leveled questions on tables. Followed by class discussion. This enables students to understand the prologue, before reading it, which they can then do for homework. Includes a detailed lesson plan that I gave the inspector on the day, with differentiation, cross curricular links, SMSC and teachers notes.
