Music Mixing Order and Checklist

Mixing is not an absolute process. However I have tried to distill the process into a really simple order and checklist. This doesn’t have alot of detail as it is aimed as an overview checklist rather than a tutorial.

Creating a Budget, Credit, Debt, Income and Deductions (Financial Capability)

This is a complete course about money covering budgeting in an engaging way. Credit, Debt, Income and Deductions. I used to work for Citizens Advice and a range of charities supporting people with their finances. Since returning to teaching I am very passionate about educating young people about money. I teach 16+ students and I find it shocking that over a 10 year period not 1 student has ever been able to explain to me how a credit card actually works. Shocking when they will be able to access one in less than 2 years. This session is the product of years of development and tweaking and is designed to be as engaging as possible using real world examples that are relevant to students such considering how to buy your first nice used car when looking at credit.

Music Theory and Composition Techniques Workbook Sibelius File

(0)
77 page Music Theory and Composition Techniques workbook with a huge range of musical examples and tasks and activities. I put this together to support my own students as there are many workbooks which use Jazz or Classical examples but not many that I came across which use pop, rock and funk musical examples to demonstrate specific techniques. The workbook starts from intervals and basic scales but then moves on to cover a huge range of techniques. This is the Sibelius 7 file which you may edit and adapt for your own needs.

A booklet to support students using Sibelius music notation software. (Version 7+ but still useful for previous versions). It has 11 pages of content and has many screenscreenshots and is designed to be as concise as possible to help students save time learning how to use the software and where specific tools are. It can also be used as a checklist to ensure students add a range of techniques to their compositions. Useful for students taking GCSE, A-level or BTEC Music courses involving elements of notation such as composition and arrangment units.
