I use these resources with Year 8 as an introduction into James I.
We first of all act out the story of the Gun Powder plot. We then look at whether the plotters were framed. We then put Cecil and Guy Fawkes on trial.
Enjoy and use as you wish.
This resource I have used with my Y11 GCSE class to teach them about the start of the Cold War.

2. Conferences
3. Iron Curtain and secret speeches
4. Truman Doctrine, Marshall Plan, Satellite States and Cominform
5. The Berlin Blockade

This is a simple PP that I used to introduce Mastery to the students.
The progress sheet is stuck in the front of students books and tells students how to be a good historian.
I use this lesson to introduce GCSE skills that the students will need to know getting ready for their exam. This is a mock exam that follows the same structure as the GCSE exam questions, but it uses sources based on Diet Coke vs Coke Zero. Included in this pack is all of the lesson resources and structure mats that can be used throughout the whole course. There is also an introduction to exam questions that can be printed and placed at the beginning of students books
The structure of the lesson:
Students read through the evidence and answer
1. source inference based on a Diet Coke advert
2. purpose question based on a Coke Zero advert
3. explain question based on gender advertising
4. reliability question based on 2 sources
5. judgement question
It is a fun lesson that allows students to access all exam skills required for this unit, but through fun evidence and sources.
I have used these resources with my Citizenship class as a way to assess and revise knowledge.
This assessment is similar to an Edexcel exam.
Enjoy and use as you wish.
This is a revision booklet that I use with my GCSE students. It is 24 pages long and covers all of the content and skills that they need to know for the exam. I usually print as an A5 booklet. I have attached a PDF booklet in case it does not open correctly on your computer.
The booklet contains:
Tick list content
Exam layout/ Exam structure grids
Content the students need to revise - Topic 1: Boom; Topic 2: Society; Topic 3: Bust; Topic 4: New Deal
Some basic activities
The students have really responded well to this resource and have used it instead of taking home textbooks.
I actually use this as a 3 exam revision guide, but thought I would sell separately, as other schools may not do all of the same exams as my school. If you would like the whole exam booklet do not hesitate to contact.
Enjoy and use as you wish!
A detailed revision guide for the power and the people module. This is 20 pages and contains all of the information that is needed to revise with. We do not have textbooks in my School and therefore students found this resource very useful.

This resource can be used in numerous ways whilst teaching the these three topics:
1. WWI and British society 1903-1928
2. WWII 1939-1945
3. The USA 1919-1939
I have used these mats at the beginning of a topic so that students have chance to choose a square and research.
I have used this as a revision exercise where students have to collect 3 key features about each key word.
I have also used this as a board game where students roll a dice and collect as many squares as they can by asking different key questions to each other.
This is a set of newly developed resources that I use for KS3 Year 9. The lessons are all fully resourced (any worksheets are at the end of the PP) and there is no need for any text books to be used. The lessons are as follows:
