A fully resourced booklet prepared in advance of Tourism Fieldwork in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Designed to take pupils 4 hours as part of a carousel. Best prepared as a booklet for pupils during their visit. Activities include: A land use survey of properties along 6 transects An Environmental Quality Survey to be conducted in 6 locations. A questionaire for Locals to assess the impacts of tourism. A questionaire for Visitors to assess motivations for visiting. A smellscape to develop qualitative data collection skills. Also included is an editable KMZ file of transects which can be used in the classroom or by staff. First prepared for CIE IGCSE Coursework Fieldwork but also usable by AQA and other exam boards.
