Reading objectives based on those in the New Curriculum for English have been organised into a chart format. This enables teachers to keep a record of when pupils demonstrate the specified skills, and develop an evidence base. Suitable for Upper Key Stage 2. Could be used for guided reading.

A selection of generic reading tasks based on Yr 5/6 reading objectives from the new curriculum for English. Many of the tasks may also be suitable for children in Yr 3/4. Could be used for shared or guided reading.

Provides support for pupils writing persuasive texts, argument (discussion) texts or texts linked to complaints. Discuss with pupils which vocabulary on the card might be useful for the specific text type they are working on.

Word mats containing a selection of vocabulary organised into catergories, suitable for higher ability children in key stage 2.
