This is a pack of NEA brief tasks for GCSE film studies students (for the 2019-2022 NEA). This powerpoint pack will cover 5-6 coursework lessons and will introduce the students to their production brief. Also in this pack is an introduction to screenwriting for the students who opt for the screenplay. The tags say media studies as for some reason TES doesn’t list film studies.

This is a resource pack that will last for 4-5 lessons when introducing District 9 to GCSE Film Studies students.

This is a unit of work for City of God that adheres to the WJEC/Eduqas specification. This pack includes powerpoints, worksheets and an abundance of other activities for A Level groups.

This is a resource pack intended for AL students in their second year of study. WJEC/Eduqas specification. It includes five PPTs and a brief outline of the SoW with links to activities etc. It also includes a presentation brief for the learners. For the designs of these PPTs I would recommend downloading the free font 'Aachen' (it's the Pulp Fiction title font).

This is a 7-8 lesson unit for Pan’s Labyrinth at A Level. This includes powerpoints and a couple of handouts, and a link to a Kahoot. This unit is in line with the Eduqas/WJEC exam board. For these PPT designs to format correctly, I recommend downloading the free font ‘Mountains of Christmas’.

This resource is enough to cover 8-9 lessons of introducing silent cinema to A Level Film Studies students, through PowerPoints, research tasks and worksheets. The content in this pack focuses on Buster Keaton’s shorts, but also has lots of contextual information about silent cinema as a whole. This pack is tailored for the Eduqas/WJEC specification.

This pack is in line with the WJEC/Eduqas specification for first assessment 2023-last assessment 2026. This pack features an introduction to screenwriting powerpoint packed full of activities, a lesson on creating storyboards, writing dialogue in screenplays, creating a mood board etc. Also included is a schedule for coursework - but obviously you can change the dates featured on it, depending on your centre’s timetable and your own SoW.

This is for learners who have just started the AL Film course. Included are PPTs, activities, worksheets and links to example clips. I would recommend giving your students the blank glossary provided so they can keep track of the abundance of key terminology that will be thrown at them over the coming weeks/months.
