Methods of cooking meat

A power point for a double lesson in four parts. This covers how to prepare and cook meat. I have included a card sort that has blank cards for writing a suitable dish that could be made by the method. This could be done just as a worksheet by removing some of the definitions. It also includes exam style questions with answers. This was used for GCSE Catering but could be adapted for other year groups and courses.

This is an 8 lesson power point that split into 4 part lessons, the unit cover safe handling of food as well as looking at presentation when completing practical sessions. They can be altered and additions can be made. Recipes can be changed to suit the ability of the pupils . I have used this with both year 8 and Year 9. Could be used as part of Level 1/2 catering.

This is a four part lesson with power point and learning mat, that can be used with year 7 in a 1 hour 40 minute lesson. ( the practical can be completed in an hour with more able pupils) There is a learning mat with activities and consolidation activity. I have included the cards for the connect activity and also some Hygiene and safety photos/rules which i put next to a cooker and made a help desk for students.
