Intro to Stanislavski Classroom Based
KS4 CLASSROOM BASSED SCHEME OF WORK - AN INTRO TO STANISLAVSKI
This scheme was create in response to current govenrment restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Students develop their knowledge of a range of Stanislavski’s key rehearsal methods and apply all their learning to a final end of unit performance from a play (to be decided by you!). There are some practical elements to this scheme to make it engaging for the students - they are solo or paired tasks that students could complete either stood behind their chairs or sat on their chairs. I have suggested using duologues for the final assessment but you could choose to give your students monologues that they work or at home or small group extract dependent on what your school allow. They could also interpret the script as a radio play, sat in chairs, facing forwards focusing on their use of vocal skills.

KS3 Drama Teenage Runaway Isolation Pack
This is a pack of 7 lessons designed for students to complete at home whilst they are isolating. The lessons explore the story of Dani a young girl who has ran away from home. Each lesson includes a PowerPoint (the taught element) and an individual worksheet for students to complete their work on. The final lesson (7) is a written assessment and a teacher’s marking sheet is also included.
There are lots of links to interactive videos (Loom or YouTube) to engage learners in the practical elements of the lessons.

Each lesson contains a PowerPoint and corresponding worksheet covering a range of dramatic skills, elements and techniques including; still image, creating and performing a dramatic monologue, flashback and flashforward and thought-tracking.
These lessons would also be suitable for students who have been set out of a lesson to complete elsewhere or to be used as high quality cover work when the usual classteacher is absent.
Some of the lessons require students to have access to the internet - however you could supply them with some news paper articles or printed information from the internet instead.
