Hi. My name is Laura. I've been teaching since 2006, but I'm currently having a break to raise my family. My areas of expertise are the Tudors and Nazi Germany. Why reinvent the wheel? Most of my resources are free or £1. If you've found them useful - please leave a review.

Was there a mid-Tudor crisis revision table

A table summarising the arguments for and against a mid-Tudor crisis from 1540-1563. *Not intended to be complete. Some detail but also plenty of prompts to encourage students to expans blanks with own knowledge.

Introduction to Tudor Period Mind Map

Useful for a whole class discussion on change and continuity between 1485 and 1603. Works well with the introduction to the period in England 1485-1603. I print to A3 and complete as a class discussion of reading set as prep. Could also be used for revision.

Does Mary I deserve her bloody nickname card sort

Card sort to encourage students to engage with the idea that Mary’s nickname is somewhere unfair given how “bloody” the rest of the Tudors were. Students sort cards, add any additional points they can think of and try to reach a balanced judgement. Has Mary been unfairly maligned because she preceded the Golden Age? Or because of her age, her gender, the brief length of her reign? Lots of interesting ideas for discussion.
