Deutscher pass- Also available in Spanish, French, Arabic and Portuguese. 26 daily pages. (can be used for 26 lessons) two versions: one with a cover in English and the other in German. A useful teaching tool for: students reflect on their learning student motivation challenges (at the back of the passport) and differentiation ownership teacher assessment for learning Format and Printing instructions: For the purpose of authenticity, this booklet is in A6 format. You will need A5 paper to print it on (or A4 cut in half) Adobe Acrobat is recommended. In the printing options in printer preferences, make sure the paper selected is A5. Select “booklet”. This should automatically send the passport to print double sided and in order. Use a long stapler to staple the middle. Here’s how I use it: As I only see my KS3 classes once a week, I put this together and use it every single lesson as a plenary! It allows them to give me feedback on how they feel they understood the content and they can also write me a note. These are on their desk for the full lesson and stay in the classroom so that I can assess their learning. If there are any notes, I write some advice back. There is a bank of extra challenges activities at the back, that can be used with any topic, and students can let me know how many challenges (both from the extension activities on the board and from the back of their passports) they have completed at the end of the lesson, by circling the correct number. As an exit ticket, I give them a small activity on a post-it size paper (i.e. “extend this sentence” or “correct this sentence” ) , student get a stamp once this is completed and are allowed to “travel” (leave the classroom). Wear a border control vest or police hat if you like drama! I certainly do. You will notice the challenges are written in Spanish, but if they struggle to understand some parts of it, they can squint their eyes and read it in English on the page next to it.

French Grammar Conjugation Booklet and Posters

12 Resources
I created this booklet because I could not find anything that simplified it as specifically as I wanted it. It explains grammatical terms without going overly technical. It uses step by step guides or flowcharts. It includes “On” in the conjugations. Common irregular verbs are available. Images speak for themselves, so please see a live example here: https://issuu.com/dinkummfl/docs/mock_up_livret_de_conjuguaison_1_ Aimed at KS3, this booklet explains le présent - the present tense, le passé composé - the perfect tense, l’imparfait - the imperfect tense, le futur proche - the near future, le futur simple - the simple future, le conditionnel- the conditional, les verbes réfléchis - reflexive verbs and impersonal expressions. Each tense page includes: what it is used for. how to use it and the main rules. 8 common irregular verbs fully conjugated in that tense. some tips on what to use it with (i.e. time markers) It also includes a grammar lingo explanation and a list of most common verbs. Page tabs can be cut out so that they stick out like labels. Includes printing instructions. This bundle also includes the above + similar poster displays in size A1.

The Grammar Lingo (French) Display

(1)
A poster with grammar lingo/ jargon made easy for KS3. I find that the number one problem when explaining grammar is that we sometimes refer to terms that we may have explained many times but students can easily forget. And I am talking from personal experience as a teenage language learner! Forgetting one of these terms may make the whole lesson very confusing and wrong use of the time. This allows pupils to quickly access those terms, so they can get on with practicing and learning. This is one of the first pages of my French Grammar/ Conjugation Booklet at KS3 which you can find here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12756410

How to do the perfect tense in French

(0)
Perfect tense / Le passé composé Poster Classroom poster on how to do the perfect tense in French, flowchart style. It includes all conjugations for “être” and “avoir”(including ‘On’), a large list of irregular participles. If the verb is irregular and also needs the auxiliary “être” they are marked with an asterisk. At the bottom of the poster, there is a list of time markers to use it with. I have used this in my classroom and it has worked excellently so far, students just need to follow the flowchart, which means I need to spend less time explaining and my students get more practice time! Format is A1 size, but can be printed in smaller sizes.
