PowerPoint guiding pupils through a question 5 example with an exemplar WAGOLL and WABOLL to highlight the impact of good descriptive writing. Could simply be clicked through and pupils work on each slide or could be a really active lesson led by teacher. You might just want to change the picture in the PowerPoint to your own school.
Language Paper 1 Question 5 lesson. Great for KS3 and KS4, has differentiated lesson success criteria and contains a great WAGOLL and WABOLL for descriptive writing. There’s plenty of opportunity for some teacher led modelling, or I’ve taught it a few times with whole class collaborative modelling. Really helps pupils see the difference between poor descriptive writing and what they should aiming for. Also contains some snappy bell work!
