This is a 34 page editable teaching powerpoint (4 complete lessons) with differentiated and progressive tasks and success criterias which all lead up to the long write, which is to write a diary entry of the Bloodbottler from the novel The BFG written by Roald Dahl. The lessons need to be taught in order for children to meet required progress. Alongside the powerpoint includes: Lesson activities for: Lesson 1 - To identify the features of diary writing. Lesson 2 - To identify and edit spelling and punctuation errors. Lesson 3 - To be able to order events chronologically. Lesson 4 - To write a diary entry. A youtube copyright detail sheet has been added for reassurance that the edited video clip complies with copyright law
