This document contains types of questions asked in a generic form, learners will gain additional marks for making strong links with the context made in the question. This document is designed to use with learners to practice and prepare for unit 2 exams. It is intended to support learners to achieve up to a merit. The questions do not include marks so that learners are encouraged to think past single ideas. As a rough guide Identify - 2 marks describe - 4 marks Explain -4- 6 Marks Discuss - 8 Marks

This assessment tests the understanding of the learners from the three lessons on cells (eukaryotic animal and plant cells and prokaryotic cells). There is also an assessment sheet to help learners track their progress in their files.

This tracker is created in excel and has formulas which calculate the final grade. The assessor only needs to input target grades and names, then add grades as assignments are assessed.

This is a general assessment. I used it at the start of the year to assess learners understanding of exam language and to see how they naturally approach an assessment. It does not require the learner to have any knowledge and can be used in any subject. The learner researches animal parks and is assessed on their presentation for moderation skills.
