This PPt aims to follow the Pearson International Advanced Level History: Civil Rights and Race Relations in the USA, 1865–2009.  Most content is applicable to all examination boards and wider Civil Rights learning in the USA.  This series of lessons covers an extensive period of history with the saying - “if you want to understand the present, you need to understand the past”, ever more true!   AOs are clearly explored, while there are opportunities for the students to work at different levels at different age groups with extension/challenge tasks.
