It has four tasks including analysis of different types of prayer and an exam style question linked to the new GCSE syllabus. A homework task related to adoration and thank giving is also included. Objectives are differentiated and there is an extension task for more able students.

This is a short lesson produced for an interview which can easily be developed. The lesson aims to explore the Buddhist celebration of Wesak/Vesak by incrementally 'feeding' students with small bits of information about the celebration in order that they develop questions about the purpose and symbolism used in the festival.
