100 Number Chart (Ladybug theme)

(0)
100 Number chart (Ladybug theme) This Number Chart consists of the numbers from 1 to 100. Odd numbers are characterized by green borders and a ladybug in the bottom left corner. Even numbers are characterized by red borders and bunting at the top of the block. Multiples of 10 have an additional picture of little leaves as well as the bunting to differentiate them. These cards can be placed in a square as a hundred chart or in a horizontal line around the classroom as a number line. I created individual number cards to make it easy for numbers to be removed in order for students to identify which ones are missing or replace those that have been removed to act as a center activity or manipulative resource. Additional blank squares have also been included which can be used to cover the numbers and if laminated, students can use a white board marker to write the number of the card that the blank card is covering. Identifying Alphabet Sounds

Identifying Alphabet Sounds

(0)
Identifying Alphabet Sounds This is a set of ‘identification of alphabet sound’ cards. Each card contains pictures which begin with the featured letter as well as pictures which don’t. Students need to identify the pictures beginning with the featured letter and circle them. I have included a set of colored cards which can be laminated and used in a literacy center as well as a set of black and white printables. These can be used for class work or homework consolidation. Simple, colorful pictures have been used to appeal to younger students. A subtle spring theme makes this resource perfect for this time of year, but can also be used at other times as well. I trust your children will enjoy this activity and that it will be beneficial. Happy Teaching! Margaux Created by Margaux Langenhoven from "Learning with Sunflower Smiles"

Alphabet Foreground and Background

(0)
Alphabet Foreground and Background coloring pages Use this Alphabet Visual Foreground and background activity to reinforce both. A US and UK version of this product is included in the download. The development of Visual Foreground and Background is important in students as it allows them to differentiate between items on a page and later on words in a sentence and on a page. Without the ability to do so, images and words blend into one another and the student is unable to distinguish the difference. Students need to color the letter and its corresponding picture. They then also practise their fine motor further by writing over the dotted letters to form the word of the picture they are colouring. Counting 1 - 20 Easter Eggs

Counting 1 - 20 Easter Eggs

(0)
This resource is made up of 4 activities which can assist in familiarizing a student with counting to 20. 1. Counting Clip Cards: Print and laminate these cards. Your student needs to count the number of eggs on the card and place a clothes peg on the correct answer. You can make them self correcting by placing a sticker behind the correct answer. Students can also use a dry erase marker to circle the correct answer on the card. This can then be wiped off when they are complete. 2. Number puzzles: print and laminate the number puzzles. Cut along the lines to create two piece puzzles. Students need to match the eggs and puzzle pieces together to form the numbers. 3. Number mats: You can print and laminate these to reuse. Dry erase markers can be used to ‘trace’ the number and word or play dough can be used to form the number and create the correct number of little eggs in the base ten frame. You can also opt to not laminate the pages and use them as worksheets. Little eggs can be drawn in the base ten frames and numbers and words can be traced. Odd numbers are depicted with a picture on the left and even numbers with a picture on the right. 4. Individual numbered eggs can be used as a number line or to practise sequencing – arranging numbers from 1 – 20. Odd numbers are black and even numbers are white. Spring Tracing (Fine Motor and Vocabulary Development)

Spring Tracing (Fine Motor and Vocabulary Development)

(0)
This product was designed for students to practise their fine motor skills and prepare them for writing. It has been created with a spring theme, where a spring character needs to reach a desired item. The student then uses their crayon to follow the path until they reach the item. For extra practice, we first use a non-writing tool to follow the path before using a crayon. This product is in colour and black line. A front cover has also been included to create a little booklet. I would suggest laminating the colour version in order to make it reusable. Students can then use a dry erase marker to follow the paths. A key ring can be used to group them together into a fun centre activity. Color vocabulary cards have also been included. The words are from the tracing cards. Each card contains the word in solid print, one to trace, a space for the student to write the word on their own and a picture. These can also be laminated and bound with a ring and used with a dry wipe marker as a center activity. You can read how we use ours here.
