A quick introduction to Google Sketchup, with pupils creating a model of a viking Longhouse. Work is set over a period of 5 weeks, with each lesson adding a step and feature. Variety of skills used. Finally managed to work out how to upload Sketchup files so it comes with 2 models. One is a step by step guide, the other is an example. This is perfect for any schools with a 3D Printer!! Short text based on the facts and stories of Hades from Greek Mythology. There is a powerpoint and question sheet attached that uses VIPERS style questions for the pupils to answer. Lots of opportunity for discussion throughout the lesson. I used the font ‘Sassoon Primary Infant’ for my editing, so some formatting may be needed after download.
