This is a introduction lesson into the Holocaust. It approaches the Holocaust from a different angle and questions why have the Jews been persecuted across History. The students first look at a picture of the crucifixion and question how that caused persecution and then looks at sources about what actually happened to Jews in medieval England. The final task is to create a diary entry to explain what has happened to the Jews in medieval England. All resources included (information sheet and sources)

Homer’s Odyssey – Book I: Athene visits Telemachus: key events This resource contains: 1x PowerPoint 1x Key events worksheet 1x Book I Homework event questions 1x Book I key event card sort This lesson introduces students to Book I of Homer’s Odyssey by looking at the first 11 lines of the poem and then the three key events in Book I. The lesson is differentiated to support lower ability students but also push those more able to link the events to Ancient Greek society and also the audience at the time.

How did Soviet control affect the people of eastern Europe? This resource contains: 1x PowerPoint Presentation 1x Card Sort This lesson focusses on the impact the Soviet Union had on the lives of those in their sphere of influence in eastern Europe. A cart sort activity is used to give the students information about how the USSR control people but also showing some positive changes. For the final task, students take on the role of an American reporter reporting on the situation in eastern Europe which teaches the students about different interpretations.

The revision cards are an excellent way for students to revise the events of the Vietnam War in their own time and test each other outside of lessons.
