In this resource pack there are 5 different PDF files that have a number of parts ranging from very easy to intermediate to complicated. There are also guitar chords. Notes are labelled, allowing all learners to access the work. I have used this in my school with Year 7 classes to teach rhythm, to great effect. I have also attached the Sibelius files so that you can edit any parts, add additional instruments or to make a full arrangement etc.

With this resource you will get two documents - a PDF with the full booklet layout that will contain all required written work for students in unit 5 and a word document which will allow you to edit it to your own needs. The booklet includes a target and review section, short & long term target section, strengths & areas for development and an 8 week review diary, which is easily laid out for students to complete. I have used this since the introduction of the first award and this has allowed my students to easily and efficiently collect distinctions, with only visual evidence needed to accompany the completed booklet.

This is an excel document that calculates a student's final grade based on their scores in composition, performance and listening & appraising. All you have to do is enter the student's scores a final 9-1 mark will be provided. Information has been sourced directly from OCR Music specialists and through CPD events, but all formulas and rules within the excel document have been added by myself. Student targets change colour based on if they are on, below or above target. All grade boundaries are provided on an alternative tab. Formulas have been added for up to 20 students. Sheets provide notation popular songs (one sheet with notes labelled, one without) as well as the chords for more advanced learners. You will get 12 songs, which is enough for a several units of work, across all Key Stage 3 and 4 lessons. This booklet has enough resources to cover a full half term (or longer) of Reggae. There are enough tasks to cover homework, classroom activities, SMSC knowledge and much more. The overall project is the Bob Marley song Three Little Birds, which can be performed by an ensemble. The main parts are the lyrics, bass line, chorus hook and chords. There are two files - the word document, which can be edited to suit your own school's layouts and a PDF showing the original layout designed for my old school to give you an idea. The original file was designed on a mac so some images on the word document may have moved around a bit. Referring to the PDF will allow you to easily correct any such errors.

Attached is a help booklet that provides ALL of the information required for a student to gain top marks in AQA Performing Arts Unit 1, with each of the 4 written parts broken down so that the student knows what to write. The PDF shows you the original layout in case the document changes on your computer and the word document allows you to edit the original document if you wish. I used this booklet with my previous cohort and had over half of the class receive A*/A and every student (class of 18) got C or above. The booklet was used specifically for the music discipline but has been adapted for drama and dance by other departments.

All successful. Just in case these keyboard cards do not fit your piano the word document is there with the original image so you can make some fine adjustments to size.
