Uses material from Samantha Brick interviews/appearances to help craft an argument. Also useful for class debates.

Lessons focusing on The Knight's Tale and The Pardoner's Tale. Also a lesson on context/Chaucer. Easily a good few lessons worth of material. Used with a high ability year 8 class.

AQA GCSE Macbeth Act I and II

Comprehensive (60 slides) PowerPoint looking at Macbeth Act I and II (rest to follow) in preparation for the new AQA GCSE. Resources and selected scenes are attached, as well as two possible end of term assessments. This has been used with Year 10 this year and provided plenty of work for a half term.

AQA GCSE Macbeth Act III, IV and V

Unit of work and selected key scenes from Macbeth Act III - V. Taught with Year 10 in preparation for the new AQA GCSE. Plenty of activities and language analysis in the PowerPoint, as well as really useful revision cards for some key characters (Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, The Witches and Banquo). Lessons much the same as the previous two uploads. Assessment question included, plenty of detailed, higher level analysis of language, form and structure in the play. A range of activities used with Year 10 this year which took a good few weeks to get through. Key scenes and worksheets also included.

AQA English Language Paper Two

Comprehensive unit of work for AQA Language Paper Two. Used over a half term with my Year 10 class (mixed ability) so plenty of support and challenge.. Resources are attached and will be especially useful due to the lack of non-fiction extracts available.

Detailed analysis of the poem - includes questions to prompt pupils to annotate themselves, followed by detailed annotation so can be taught in different ways. Especially useful for the IGCSE poetry anthology.
