This resource bundle includes a PPT that deals with just story openings for one lesson - with use of the ‘plate openers’ for students to write on. Teacher instructions gives details of how this has been run with students - this activity has been run with KS3 but also as an engaging revision task for GCSE students (yes even year 11s!) The menus themselves are useful as prompts and aids for narrative writing as a whole and I have included a ‘Transition menu’ which was used as an open evening task for year 5 and 6.
