Inference Lesson Part 1:
My class looked at 6 different pairs of shoes (cowboy boots, sparkly high heels, football boots, smart shoes, rubber boots and leopard print stilettos) The children made inferences about who owns the shoes.
Inference Lesson Part 2:
My class looked at photos of the people who wear the shoes (photos are not included in this product for copyright reasons) I had photos of a country singer, a girl in a ball gown, a football player, a detective, a farmer and a rich person shopping. The children made further inferences about the people who own the shoes based on what they could see in the photos.
Inference Lesson Part 3:
My class read part of a story about the people who own the shoes and used their inference skills to write down their thoughts about the person based on what they read. Finally, my class chose a person to write about. They used the story starter and finished the story using all the information they had inferred.
