Medium term plans that prepare students for 9-1 AQA English language paper 1 and paper 2 reading and writing.
The medium term plans attached are highly detailed and include:
- weekly homework tasks
- clear explanation on what should be covered and analysed
- weekly assessments
These updated medium term plans have been created to interleave the literature texts. Specific links are made to Jekyll and Hyde, An Inspector Calls and Jekyll & Hyde.
E.g. - students will read articles on arranged marriage for their paper 2 study which creates links to Juliet. They will also explore the gender pay gap to create links to AIC.

A CPD presentation around inclusive pedagogy aimed at supporting students with MLD (mild learning difficulties)
The presentation explores the importance of inclusive pedagogy with research and with reference to Engelmann.
Strategies are suggested and explored that would help teachers to cater for these students well and encourages bias in the learning for SEND students.

They have been made to look exactly like the assessments that students will sit n the real 9-1 examinations and are phrased in the same ways too.
This paper uses War photographer as the printed poem.
The student responses can then be marked using the relevant mark scheme for Power and conflict poetry.
