Check out this awesome electrical energy mini investigation! Included you will find clear directions for students and teacher. An objective is embedded as well as supplemental worksheets to track the students learning. You will need some basic components such as wiring, battery, light bulb, and then a variety of materials to be tested for conductibility such as nails, rubber, plastic, aluminum foil, combs, staples, paperclips, etc. This activity engages students in understanding which materials are conductors and which ones are insulators. They will develop their understanding of the material that allow for the flow of electrons and will love doing it! Check out this five prompt geomtry challenge. It can be used for a group or be done independently. Each of the challenges push students to create a quesiton of their own based on the topic provided which include polygons, triangles, 3-dimensional shapes and more. The prompt tells students the questions are to be test-type questions but adapt as needed. The idea is that students think through creating problems as well as the answer key to the topics they have learned. This serves as a great review come testing time!

One Digit Addition Clothespin Clip Practice Cards Activity

Check out this fun and engaging with for students to practice their one digit addition skills. With 81 question cards. Each question card is meant to be glued or taped to the answer key which serves as the backing to each card. Students use a clothespin or binder clip or paperclip to cover one of the four answers on the bottom of each card which answers the question on the top. Once the pin covers the answer, they can flip over the card and find the correct answer showing an emoji on the back, which should also be covered by their pin. Kids will have a blast with this while they self-monitor their progress and can respond in the moment to correct their answers and clarify their misunderstandings. I would suggest printing it on color paper to make it even more fun! Directions for the teacher are included as well! Have fun!
