This is a stunning and low-budget maker project to teach students the basics of electronics and circuit design. I have developed three paper circuit cards with hand-drawn funky designs that include a scaffolding approach so that students will be able to create their own circuit designs from scratch at the end. Just follow the easy written instructions on the card or watch my short “How to-video”. The link to my vimeo video is included in this package. Start with Card #1 to learn how to do a simple circuit. Then move on to card #2 to learn how to create a parallel circuit, Lastly create your own circuit design on card #3. Video demonstration available Click the link in this document to watch me in action how I make my card light up! Show it to the whole class as well!!! Tip! Embed some literacy into these card! Each card has a dedicated space for writing e.g. about the experience working with electronics, short story about the characters on the card, reflection etc. .The writing ideas are endless! For best results print each card on white cardstock paper - double-sided. You need the following materials to make the cards blink: coin cell batteries LED’s copper tape or aluminum tape binder clip Paper circuit cards (that you buy here and print off) scissors

Among US Identification Cards-Gamify Your Classroom Instantly! Whole Class Game

This is the current hype in (almost) every Junior/Middle school across the globe - The video game Among Us! Students are hyped and would like to play it 24/7 on their phones. Why don’t we incorporate this pop culture straight into our classroom and make crewmates and impostors our scholastic friends? I have designed Among Us identification cards to transform and gamify traditional classwork with an Among US theme. And this is how you get the most disengaged student to complete his/her math work finally! What is Among US? Crewmates must run around the ship and try to complete a set of tasks while trying to root out and avoid getting killed by the one or several impostors. Players can be voted off the ship, so each game becomes one of survival: Successfully vote off the impostors, or complete all your tasks to win. It’s simple, cartoony and easy enough for a five-year-old to play on an iPhone. (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/14/style/among-us.html. Retrieved: November 15, 2020) The classroom version does not include killing! I added slight modification to the game to make it student friendly. Included are: 33 Crewmate identity cards 3 impostor identity cards 3 Page teacher manual with game description 1 Emergency meeting poster (letter size)
