I have aimed to include women from around the world, such as from South America, Asia and North Africa, and those who are not well known, for example looking at the achievements of Cleopatra’s sister rather than Cleopatra herself. Each power point slide includes images, dates, maps, a general biography and trivia on each individual. Lesson looking at life in ancient Rome. The lesson focuses on the benefits and drawbacks of living in the city of Rome, the starter and plenary allow evaluation of what presumptions/knowledge pupils have on Rome, and how this changes throughout the lesson. There is also time for discussion, pair work and a homework task. All resources needed are included.

The lesson covers the definitions of all three, before focusing on comparing the benefits and drawbacks of the Empire and Republic in ancient Rome.
