AQA Unseen Poetry Anthology - English Literature Paper 2 Section C - Practice Unseen Poems

(1)
This Unseen Poetry booklet contains seven pairs of ‘unseen’ poems. It is designed to familiarise students with the requirements for AQA English Literature Paper 2 Section C, Questions 1 and 2. How to use this booklet: the first poem should be analysed alone, whilst the second poem is introduced to compare how methods are used in each of the poems. AQA’s recent changing of the wording to the question in this exam has been reflected in this booklet. Great resource for carefully selected practice of this difficult question. All feedback is welcomed! Please note this booklet contains only the pairs of poems; there is no analysis/model answers *

Power and Conflict AQA Poetry SoL What How Why approach

(0)
An entire scheme of learning for the teaching of AQA English Literature’s Power and Conflict. Covering all fifteen poems in the anthology, this package includes powerpoint presentations, a glossary of poetic devices, vocabulary building, skills checklists, model comparative introductions, model analyses, model contextual information and a clear WHAT-HOW-WHY approach which underpins the study of each poem. This approach is clearly favoured in the AQA Examiners’ Report. The powerpoints are immaculately presented and include recap questions of previously covered material in the Power and Conflict Scheme, as well as recaping key ideas in A Christmas Carol, Blood Brothers and English Language Paper 1 and 2. The models provided are suited for higher attaining students and therefore could be simplified. They also encourage self-reflection and improvement. An excellent package. All feedback is greatly appreciated!

This workbook guides the student how to write a piece of poetry in three simple steps. There are seven exercises in total. This is the perfect workbook for stimulating creativity and encouraging mindfulness following the writing process. The process is clearly outlined alongside general tips for aspiring writers, making this workbook an excellent choice for students who wish to both improve their writing habits and enjoy the creative process! This could also serve as lovely creative starters or cover work. I have included an original coloured journal and a grey-scalel, printer-friendly version of the same booklet. I’d really appreciate your feedback! Thank you.
