Who do you celebrate with? (includes reference to different types of families and that not everyone has a mother to celebrate with, but can include other carers.)

Year 6 Percentages Mastery Maths Lesson Worksheets
I created eight sets of worksheets for my class for a two-week unit on percentages:
The sample images show all resources for one lesson only - there are several progressive tasks for each day, focusing on the following themes:
Converting fractions to percentages
Finding equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages
Calculating percentage of an amount (2 lessons)
Solving percentage problems - missing numbers
Calculating percentage increases
Calculating percentage decreases
Ordering fractions, decimals and percentages
The worksheets contain fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions. They demonstrate appropriate models and images to support pupils in developing deeper understanding of the mathematical concepts.
Great for supporting and challenging your Year 6 pupils.
Primary PowerPoint and Paper-Based Book Quiz (includes answers).
Updated for 2024.
A quiz created for Book Day with a book theme to share with your class
The PowerPoint version can be used alongside the paper quiz if you want to complete together, or to read out the questions, or as a whole class activity. The answers are revealed at the end of the PPt, following each question but you can easily rearrange the slides if you want them to show the answers as you go.
The paper version is designed to be printed out and given to pupils to work through - the questions relate to books from across the primary age range so is ideal for mixed-age challenges.
This 25 question quiz could also be used as a homework task to encourage family engagement, or as a fund-raiser.
Answers provided.
This is a 53-slide PowerPoint to use with a whole class whilst reading the text Holes by Louis Sachar.
The Powerpoint contains six weeks of plans and slides showing the tasks to be completed.
The tasks cover the VIPERs reading skills Vocab, Infer, Predict, Explain, Retrieve and Summarise.
The tasks are also included as separate documents for ease of use.
At the end of the Ppt is a 45 question quiz, with answers included.
I have a free sample of this resource to show an example of the plan and skills-based materials here, so you can try before you buy:

I created this for year 5, but it would also be suitable to use with year 4 and 6.
KS1 and KS2 Mother’s Day Primary Bundle (updated for 2024):

Assembly or Lesson PowerPoint
I have created this PowerPoint for my Mother’s Day assembly as I couldn’t find anything else that included all of the elements I wanted to cover.
This PowerPoint includes:
When is Mother’s Day?

Who do you celebrate with? (includes reference to different types of families and that not everyone has a mother to celebrate with, but can include other carers.)
Gratitude
Mother’s Day around the World
Reflection
Postcards (colour and black and white versions):
16 postcards with large Mother’s Day-related words on the front, then they write their messages on the back. The black and white version is good for the children to colour in the recipient’s favourite colours. The colour version uses pretty pastel shades, ideal for this occasion.
These postcards contain words for a variety of carers (mum, step mum, aunty, granny, nan, special person, and others such as ‘thank you’ and ‘You’re the Best’ (ideal for those giving to a male carer).
Bookmarks (colour and black and white versions):
These 4 bookmarks contain a variety of greetings for Mother’s Day and have space for children to draw a portrait of their mum, or other carer. These are lovely laminated and make an excellent gift.
My Mum activity sheet:
An activity sheet for children to draw a portrait of their mum inside the picture frame and write a description. This includes a duplicate sheet without ‘My Mum’ at the top to use for other carers.
Word Art (colour and black and white versions):
I decided to include two pages of the word art I created for these designs so that you can copy them into your own creations. Each page has 16 designs (one page black and white for colouring in, the other already in pastel shades).
The assembly PowerPoint is also available as an individual purchase here:

Easter Story Primary Assembly or Lesson PowerPoint (updated for 2024):
Also available as part of a bundle with accompanying sequencing images here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12823732
Please note, the preview images only show a selection of slides, as an example.
I have created this 16-slide PowerPoint for my Easter assembly as I couldn’t find anything else that included all of the elements I wanted to cover.
This is suitable for a whole school primary assembly but is a little longer than normal, so could be done in sections (the story one day and the celebration parts another) or as an extended assembly.
I anticipate this taking me 20-25 minutes to deliver. It is also easily shortened by removing some of the slides to suit your needs.
This presentation includes:
• When is Easter?
• Why is it celebrated?
• The Easter Story
• Summary of key messages
• How is Easter celebrated in the UK?
• Easter around the World
• Reflection

This is a Power point and accompanying worksheets to deliver several activity sessions on designing a Sea Life Centre. I designed this for Year 2 but have also used in Year 6 with some minor adaptions. Numbers and costs can be adapted to suit.
This 70 page handwriting booklet has been made to support pupils with developing and improving their cursive handwriting, whilst practising their knowledge of spelling patterns and phonics.
Each page focuses on a specific sound / spelling pattern.
This can be displayed on an interactive whiteboard for modelling / demonstration, or photocopied as a pupil booklet. I use it both ways.
I originally created this for use in Year 2, but I have used it with all age groups including Year 6.
Great as a homework pack for pupils needing extra practise, or for use as an intervention, or just for independent morning work, etc.
A set of Easter bookmarks to colour and decorate. Can be laminated and make lovely gifts. There are coloured versions and black and white versions for students to colour themselves.
Set 1: Easter greetings in bubble writing to colour and add a picture
Set 2: Easter greetings in pastel-coloured bubble writing. Just add a picture.
