I lived and I worked in Qatar for a year. I know that while you need to teach about Qatar History, the books you are given are not easy to use and certainly won’t last you a whole year and so I took the books I was given and I extended the tasks to produce a more interesting and more supportive learning environment, ideal for both the teachers and their students to get a lot more out of this topic.

Motivational Quotes for the classroom - PowerPoint and Display Materials

Are you looking for some nice, eye catching motivational quotes to hang around your classroom and in the corridors to motivate children towards being more self confident and more successful? Perhaps you are looking for a simple set of pictures to use in an assembly? I have collected together some great quotes, which you could discuss with your class or the whole school. You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different ideas being shown in each of photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Motivational Quotes for the classroom.. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into types of quotes. The students can then discuss how they could use this idea in their own lives. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

70 worksheets for English lessons with answers Intermediate Level The second ESL resource book

(1)
Welcome to the second English ESL book. Like the first one, it’s packed full of worksheets that can be photocopied freely for use in the classroom, as well as being an ideal tool for students to work through at home. We’ve included resources that test grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling and speaking & listening skills. A huge variety of material that we hope will be fun to use and really helpful, whether you are at school or at home. A big thank you must go to all the students who have tried and tested these resources in the classroom prior to us producing the book! While the first book (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/60-entry-level-grammar-worksheets-for-english-lessons-and-esl-with-answers-11156436) was aimed primarily at Entry Level students, this one is aimed at higher level students, either Intermediate Level or Level 1 (ESOL Core Curriculum), depending on how you choose to label them. There are also a few worksheets for practising more basic skills, such as the two Writing Skills worksheets. However, most of the material reflects the higher level, and will provide a wealth of stimulating lessons for students who are starting to become more independent in their learning. With this in mind we have included a brand new section - Test Your Research Skills. Here you will find quizzes on a range of topics that require students to go and do some research, using a library facility, encyclopaedia (whether in CD Rom or old fashioned book form!), or even the internet...

Victorian Bundle

This is my Victorian bundle. It is an interesting collection of different resources. In some ways, Victorians were similar to us, in other ways, they held very different opinions to modern Britons. These presentations are a great way to get the students talking in the classroom. They can discuss the dresses and toys and guess what the different household objects were used for.

September 4 Science Pack - Skeletons, Teeth and Senses PowerPoint and Display Material

I have created 4 great teaching packs for Science: Animal Skeleton Bones, Human Skeleton Bones, Teeth and Your Senses. You can download these packs, print them off and have an instant wonderful display. Alternatively, you would use them as PowerPoint presentations within a lesson to introduce or review a topic. They make excellent talking prompts for the class! Animal Skeletons: See different examples of animal bones. How are they similar? How do they differ from each other? There are bones of fish, whales, snake and cows, to mention just a few. Human Skeletons: Here is a nice resource pack which contains a lot of the different bones students need to learn about. The photos are fantastic. Teeth: This includes what we need to have nice teeth and a few photos of what happens if we are not careful with our teeth. There are also some animal pictures so you can discuss animal teeth shapes. Senses: A nice teaching pack about our 5 senses. This would make an excellent display or sorting activity.

10 x 30 hour ESL teaching resources - Complete 12-week spoken English course

Talk a Lot - Spoken English Course - A Great New Way to Learn Spoken English. The units are: Learning English, Films, Hospital, Books, Airport, Money, Places in the UK, Politics, Internet, and Australia. Elementary Book 3 • Complete 12-week spoken English course • 300+ hours of learning materials – with full answers • Brand new and unique learning method • Learn and recall questions, answers and negatives using 8 common verb forms • Learn 400+ essential vocabulary words • 100% photocopiable This book is called Talk a Lot Elementary Book 3, but the skill range is fairly wide, including students at all levels between Elementary (CEF Level A2) to Pre-Intermediate (CEF Level B1). This means that the course is suitable for students studying for the Cambridge KET or PET examinations. Of course, teachers know the level of their students and will use the materials in accordance with what the students are able to (and want to) do. The verb tenses that are covered should be studied by all students at these levels, and the vocabulary words should be generally useful to students from Elementary upwards. However, some of the units may pose more of a challenge to true Elementary learners, because the vocabulary may be less familiar, e.g. Places in the UK and Australia. Similarly, some of the activities are more suitable for students at Pre-Intermediate level than Elementary, such as the Multi-Purpose Texts and Role Plays (although the teacher could adapt the role play situations for lower level students by simplifying them). As before, the aim of this book is to teach students to think in English and Talk a Lot! The Talk a Lot course objectives are very simple: • Every student talking in English • Every student listening to and understanding English • Every student thinking in English, and • Every student taking part in class Talk a Lot is structured so that every student can practise and improve English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, word and sentence stress, and interpersonal skills, by working in pairs, groups and one to one with the teacher. The main benefits of Talk a Lot are: • Students have to think in English during lessons in a controlled and focused way • Students learn how to memorise correct English structures naturally, without abstract and unrelated grammar lessons

101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets Book 2 + Answers

Like the first version of 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/101-ks1-grammar-sats-revision-worksheets-11189210), it is packed with 101 printable worksheets for teaching and improving grammar skills in English. The topics are wide and varied, starting with Essential English worksheets that cover the basics, like the alphabet, days, months, and telling the time; then tenses (a lot about tenses!), then irregular verbs, question forms, word order in sentences, parts of English, uncountable nouns, and so on! If you have used the first BGB, you will know what to expect from this one. Around 25% of the worksheets in this book are closely modelled on activities in BGB 1, for example Full Stops 1 (pp.68-69). The material starts off at beginner level, with the alphabet worksheets, then gets progressively more difficult. Only towards the end do things get “tougher”, with articles, conditionals, and phrasal verbs making their inevitable appearance! Don’t worry – all the answers and notes for use are included at the back of this book. English teachers can use Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets in class, although it may be better to use the worksheets for homework and let students focus on speaking and listening and group work – producing language – in class. It is ideal for private study – i.e. homework or self-study – and also for use in online lessons. Teachers can adapt the worksheets in this book, and I would positively encourage them to treat many of the pages as templates for producing their own activities. For example, the sentence building worksheets (from p.60) would be ideal for adaptation, among many others. I hope you enjoy learning English with Another 101 KS1 English Grammar SAT Revision Worksheets! Remember, a good understanding of English grammar will open doors of opportunity. Please note: This was originally marketed under the title Big Grammar Book 2. If you have bought this title, you do not need to buy this book.

Year 6 SPAG Revision Pack! Hundreds of questions from the 2016, 2015 and 2014 papers

I love to teach KS2 English grammar, punctuation and spelling. I make it into a game. The students see the question and then answer them on a mini whiteboard. I sometimes put them into pairs or teams to discuss their ideas. Then I show them the answers. We discuss the different answers together. I hated having to have the answers and questions separately and so I have combined the different question and answer papers into a single presentation. This presentation also tells them what would have been acceptable or unacceptable answers. The tests are differentiated so there are Level 3-5 tests and Level 6 tests. The students should try to do them all, to both consolidate and extend their learning. These KS2 SPAG Revision test materials will make learning more fun and the students more motivated to achieve. You will notice in the sample 2016 tests, there is now a single test for all students, which explains why there is no separate tests for levels 3-5 and level 6. Please take the time to to look at these resources and comment on them. For more teaching resources, please visit http://www.TimeToTeach.co.uk.
