Qatar History And Citizenship - Year 6 - 39 Lesson Plans And Worksheets

(1)
Qatar History and Citizenship is a compulsory subject for any primary school teacher in Qatar. When I taught this subject in Qatar, I was surprised to discover how thin the student text book was, how little resources were available for students on the Internet and that there was no teacher guide to help teachers effectively teach this subject. This Year 6 teaching pack contains lesson plans and additional worksheets to support 39 weekly lessons. These lessons cover all a student needs to know about the subject, and the lessons are designed to motivate and excite a student's interest in the history around them. These worksheets could be printed out and used as workbooks in the classroom, sent home as additional homework or shared via an interactive whiteboard. *** Please note that these resources are designed to be used with the official text book, not as a replacement. ***

70 worksheets for English lessons with answers Intermediate Level The second ESL resource book

(1)
Welcome to the second English ESL book. Like the first one, it’s packed full of worksheets that can be photocopied freely for use in the classroom, as well as being an ideal tool for students to work through at home. We’ve included resources that test grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling and speaking & listening skills. A huge variety of material that we hope will be fun to use and really helpful, whether you are at school or at home. A big thank you must go to all the students who have tried and tested these resources in the classroom prior to us producing the book! While the first book (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/60-entry-level-grammar-worksheets-for-english-lessons-and-esl-with-answers-11156436) was aimed primarily at Entry Level students, this one is aimed at higher level students, either Intermediate Level or Level 1 (ESOL Core Curriculum), depending on how you choose to label them. There are also a few worksheets for practising more basic skills, such as the two Writing Skills worksheets. However, most of the material reflects the higher level, and will provide a wealth of stimulating lessons for students who are starting to become more independent in their learning. With this in mind we have included a brand new section - Test Your Research Skills. Here you will find quizzes on a range of topics that require students to go and do some research, using a library facility, encyclopaedia (whether in CD Rom or old fashioned book form!), or even the internet...

Year 6 2016 SPAG Interactive Whiteboard Sample Test Paper 1 And Answers

(0)
I have created a PowerPoint presentation combining Paper 1 and the mark scheme so you can ask a question, and immediately see the answer and the explanation. This is great for a wide range of different circumstances. If the students have completed the test this lets the teacher review the paper question by question. It also a great what of revising grammar at the whole class level. Each student shows the answer on whiteboard and then immediately check their answers. A variety of questions has been included in this sample test to demonstrate the formats and curriculum content that pupils may encounter in a live test. A commentary is provided in the mark scheme that accompanies each question. This sample test mark scheme is provided to give teachers an indication of how the tests will be marked. The mark schemes for the sample tests have been subject to a shorter process than the full, rigorous development process that is used for live mark schemes. The sample test and mark schemes have been reviewed by teachers and other expert reviewers.

Science Day or Science Week Presentation - videos, introduction to science and draw a scientist

(0)
Science week is a great time to discuss the importance of science. Some countries such as India have Science Day, while other celebrate International Science Week. The idea is for the students to draw a scientist at the start of the lesson... then compare what they thought science was (generally a wild haired, white guy doing crazy stuff in a lab) with what they thought science was at the end of the lesson and hopefully there has been a change of ideas. This presentation has links to 2 great YouTube videos which explain why science is so important to everyone. I also listed some of key branches of science, with a brief introduction and pictures. The idea is to discuss how science affects our every day life and how in reality, we are all scientists at heart.
