The lesson included in this resource pack, includes a detailed lesson plan, interactive resources and full PowerPoint presentation. The lesson focuses on Aggression and its application to both real life and exam style questions. With Exam style questions broken down and explanations on how to approach them. The criminal profiles are based around real examples and link directly to different theories around aggression. The lesson plan is very detailed and includes a differentiation table outlining what each student at each grade should be achieving and how activities can be modified to encourage stretch and challenge or broken down to be similar.

Sociology Research Methods in Context Display and Activity

Attached is a classroom display that can be used to generate random exam style questions for the Research Methods in Context Question at AS and A-level. Students pick a Research Method and a Context, put these into a question then answer it. Along with the categories the display also includes a scaffolding/essay plan and some "Red Pen Draws" to highlight what the examiners will be looking for. I have also included illustration of examples of each research method, in the form of a study. Please leave feedback where possible.

Sociology Interactive Summer Project for Y11 into Y12

Attached is a summer project for Y11 Students moving into Y12. This resource gives them an insight into Sociological Perspectives and begins to apply it to the family. This summer project also concludes with a essay for the students to complete which can be reviewed when they return in September. Throughout the project students are given the opportunity to tweet about what they have learnt and share with others in their cohort, hopefully developing a collegiate culture from the start of Y12.

Crime and Deviance Bridging work Y12

(0)
This resource outlines at least three double lessons, aimed at Y12, focusing on an introduction to crime and deviance ahead of Y13. There are elements of research and a strong focus on independent learning throughout this unit of work. The resource includes detailed lesson plans (3) outlining lesson activities these can be found at the end of the PowerPoint document. Also a worksheet for the lessons. This is ideal for the gap between Y12 and Y13 (the linear nature of sociology means that we need to hit the ground running and this resource really does that) Please leave feedback where possible.

Sociology Roles of Education (Dancing Helix Strategy)

This lesson investigates the different perspectives and their approach to education, this also uses aspects of the Webb Sociology book. The lesson design follows a dancing helix strategy removing the hierarchy of Blooms to encourage further development and constant review. This lesson is designed to develop independent learners but still assess them at every step. This resource includes Quick Check activities as well as a very detailed lesson plan.

Sociology Learning Assessment Guide

This resource is designed to use from the start of the year at Y12 and continue through to Y13. This is really good for target marking and for demonstrating progress. It uses Blooms and key skills as a structure to inform assessment planning and marking. The non hierarchical approach to Blooms encourages students to continually develop and progress.

AQA Psychology Perception Knowledge Assessment 1 and Green it Activities to follow

Really good way of assessing students knowledge before they attempt to apply their knowledge to exam style questions. The answers can be found on the student follow up sheet. This resource comes with follow up tasks that students complete in response to their self/peer assessed work. I have found that my classes fully engage with this and it forces them to address their weaknesses before completing an application test. Please see my other resources.

Revision Tracker and Report Intervention

Students use this report to track their revision, staff can then test them on the content covered and sign them off on the different areas of the course. I am currently using this as an intervention strategy to get students to further engage with the revision process. Report also includes a countdown to the exam.
