Roman Army Assembly Script

Roman Army Assembly Script

(0)
This is a Word doc Roman Army assembly script. I wrote this for a class of 30 Year 3 pupils, but it could be easily adapted to make more or less parts to suit your class size. There are also teacher speaking parts. The assembly includes having the children demonstrate different army formations such as the Orb. There is also a reflection/prayer to read aloud at the end which reflects upon what characteristics the Roman Army had to be successful and how we could adopt the same characteristics. I hope you find this resource useful. Please leave a review if you enjoyed using it. Thank you!

Conjunctions Worksheet

This is a Word doc. worksheet for pupils to practise inserting the correct conjunction into each sentence. Underneath, they write and insert conjunctions in their own sentences. I created this as a homework sheet to consolidate their learning of conjunctions, but it could be used as a classroom exercise as well. Enjoy!
KS2 Dictations

KS2 Dictations

(0)
This is a Word doc resource with 15 simple dictations to use. Each dictation links with a Spag/Writing topic such as conjunctions. I made these to use weekly with my Year 3 class so there are enough for 1 whole term. The first set are linked to ‘The Iron Man’ as they were studying this text, but they will also work as stand-alone dictations. I read them out loud in repeated chunks. I then ask different children to help me to spell out each word of the dictation on the board. They tick or correct each word of their own dictation. If you have time afterwards, they can double-up as a short handwriting exercise to copy off the board. It is a great way to build focus and listening. I also use them as a way of recapping/consolidating a grammar or writing topic that we have recently covered. Hope you find these useful!
