Explores ways to develop children's love of learning, promote reading throughout the school, changing the way in which we teach reading, end of Key Stage expectations as of New Curriculum (2017). Could be adapted to suit an individual school (before upload this contained data about our school's end of year outcomes, percentage of pupils achieving age related or higher, pupil voice etc.)

A set of 6 lessons on Powerpoint focusing on 5 inspirational figures from different faiths. I am currently using this as an RE topic in line with our syllabus in Bedfordshire but can also be used as a PSHE set of lessons. All resources included.

The first four lessons in a 2 week unit exploring non-chronological reports that teaches children about the effects of plastic pollution on the seas. Draws upon WWF resources - 50% of profits made will be given to support the work of the WWF. Second week coming soon!

The first week in a two week unit focusing on the film “The Alchemist’s Letter”. Each lesson provides guided writing opportunities to describe a scene, explore character’s emotions and explain how the machine works using drama and images. This then leads on to a second week (coming soon) where children explore two of the character’s memories, add their own happy memory to the machine and then explore morals before editting and refining. Aimed at Year 5 but can easily be used with a Year 6 class also.

This is a single lesson on PowerPoint in the Expressing Faith Unit of RE about Stained Glass windows and exploring their use in churches. Focuses on the history of stained glass and its usage. Also teaches children the story of 'The Good Samaritan' enabling children to design their own stained glass windows to portray the story with a three-way differentiated activity at the end of the PowerPoint.

A 4 week unit of work (20 lessons) aimed at Year 5 and 6 focusing on the topic of ‘Myths & Legends’. Includes 3 way differentiation as well as resources and suggested reading/websites that can link with this topic. Used effectively with a year 5 class, however can be adapted to suit Year 6 pupils.

An upper KS2 set of plans based around the creation and study of newspapers focusing on the topic of Space and life aboard the International Space Station. All lessons come with links to useful pages, warm up grammar based activities and 3 way differentiation. All resources for these set of plans are also included.

The second week in a 2 week unit of non-chronological planning. Focuses on planning, writing first drafts and editting. Can be extended to then create a ‘Big Write’ piece based on their editted work.

An individual lesson focusing on developing children's Growth Mindsets through a variety of tasks, explaining what the difference is between 'fixed' and 'growth'. Has a three-way differentiated poster activity at the end that can be used to assess pupils' understanding and be used as a motivational display in the classroom.

A brief assembly aimed at KS2/KS3 talking about acts of kindness with a link to a video that shows how to help and care for others.

A set of 4 individual lessons aimed at Italian EAL pupils to develop understanding of basic English. Each sheet comes with the English written in black and the Italian written in red. Covers the four following areas: - objects at school (matching game and wordsearch) - the months of the year (translations and seasons with colouring pages with translated words for labelling) - talking about yourself (hobbies/likes including a match game and wordsearch) - family members (explaining about various members of the family, appearance and opportunities to write)

Plans are based around the film 'Replay' from the Literacy Shed and is free to view. All plans made in line with 2017 ITAF statements. Second week also available to purchase in shop.
