A set of 10 activities about the Titanic to be used as either a set of research lessons or a themed day at school. Has been used with my Year 6 cohort and has been incredibly successful. History Planning - Best of British Unit of Work (6 lesson - 3 way differentiation)

A set of 6 lesson plans for History focusing on the British history, in chronological order focusing the following areas: - Battle of Hastings (diary entry as a Norman invader) - The relationship between Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII (debate and trial activity to decide on Anne Boleyn's guilt) - The Great Fire of London (newspaper activity) - Georgian Highway men (wanted posters using old English) - Victorian workhouses (a report on the conditions people had to endure) - Life in WWII Britain (diary entries Blitz survivors) All plans individually differentiated 3 ways with clear learning objectives, success criteria, plenarys and key vocabulary. Also includes historical objectives on the front page to identify areas of coverage. Links to useful websites included, especially the BBC History page for audio resources.

An individual lesson focusing on developing children's Growth Mindsets through a variety of tasks, explaining what the difference is between 'fixed' and 'growth'. Has a three-way differentiated poster activity at the end that can be used to assess pupils' understanding and be used as a motivational display in the classroom.

RE Christmas Lesson (Debate - Who Should Christmas Be For?)

A PowerPoint lesson that explores the history of Christmas, the question "Should Christmas only be celebrated by Christians?" as a debate opener and opportunity for peer to peer discussion as well as a three-way differentiated activity at the end of the PowerPoint for children to write their arguments and present them to the class. This is a single lesson on PowerPoint in the Expressing Faith Unit of RE about Mandalas and exploring their use in Buddhism. Focuses on the construction and deconstruction of mandalas, as well as the spiritual importance they play within the religion of Buddhism. With a three-way differentiated activity at the end of the PowerPoint, pupils are encouraged to use the time to meditate and create their own mandalas to express their inner thoughts and feelings.

Covers the four following areas: - objects at school (matching game and wordsearch) - the months of the year (translations and seasons with colouring pages with translated words for labelling) - talking about yourself (hobbies/likes including a match game and wordsearch) - family members (explaining about various members of the family, appearance and opportunities to write)
